Carbon Cycle

The Carbon Cycle group studies biogeochemical cycles and the interactions and feedbacks between atmosphere, biosphere, and hydrosphere.

Our research focuses on greenhouse gas exchange and carbon pools in vegetation and soils, combining observations with process-based, data-driven, and machine learning approaches. We integrate these methods across scales to better understand how the biogeochemical cycles are shaped by the current and future climate conditions and land management.
