Avalanche warnings in Lapland

During the winter season, avalanche warnings are issued for six mountain areas: Ruka, Luosto-Pyhä, Ylläs-Levi, Ounas-Pallas, Saariselkä and Kilpisjärvi.

Avalanche forecasts are usually needed for the period extending from early January to late April. The forecasts are drawn up by the Rovaniemi Unit of the Finnish Meteorological Institute.

Check the avalanche forecast in winter.

Small avalance.
