New weather service for drone operations

Drone operations can be significantly impacted by bad weather conditions such as strong winds, heavy rain or low visibility. Finnish Meteorological Institute has launched a new weather service to support drone operations. Drone forecast can be accessed from https://drone.weatherproof.fi/ and via aviation weather service https://www.ilmailusaa.fi/.

Drone weather service consists of fully automated forecasts for about 60 locations in Finland. Service is based on numerical weather model data and designed for unmanned aviation.
