Easterly air masses raise hydrocarbon concentrations in Pallas

The Pallas research station in northern Finland has been monitoring non-methane hydrocarbon concentrations for over twenty years. It has been observed in the measurements that concentrations of these compounds have not decreased significantly in Pallas although emissions in the European Union have simultaneously decreased by 50%.
