Uncertainties related to climate engineering restrict its use in climate change mitigation
Climate engineering refers to systematic large-scale manipulation of the environment using various climate engineering techniques.
According to a new study conducted by VTT and the Finnish Meteorological Institute, however, the uncertainties related to climate engineering are so significant that it is not an alternative to rapid reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
