The annual duration of snow uncovered with the help of satellite observation

The research area of the Arctic Research Centre in Sodankylä involves the most significant snow cover satellite observation testing area in the northern boreal zone. Over the last ten years, studies have examined how the development of snow cover can be better monitored using satellite data.
